What
is a gob? Or, more correctly, what's in a gob?
The answer is simple: knowledge.
Random, scattered, spontaneous... all of these apply.
Weird, unconventional... these may apply as well.
But these are the words we truly hope come to mind when you hear
the word
'gob': creative, openminded, fascinating, passionate...
Gobdomain
is a website devoted to the many interests of me, a teenage girl and
my
cat, Goblin. These vary from the goalies of the NHL to animal rescue organanizations to Orlando Bloom... oh, and catnip,
warm places to nap, and, well, you get the picture...
But why
'gobs', you persist-- well, even I do not truly know the complete and total story. Only my cat, Goblin, could tell you
that. I'll let you know when cat-mind-reading devices become available on mass market. Until then, I can only
speculate from the various hints she's dropped:
-
gob is defined
in the dictionary as 1) lump or 2) large amount of a quantity ... therefore, a large lump of random information can correctly
be called a "gob"
-
a gob can
be messy- it doesn't have a specified shape, and so the information we gather here doesn't need to be perfectly polished
or balanced- just stuck together
-
and the
inevitable: 'gob' is the first part of Goblin (cats can be very self-absorbed)
